Arkhaos exists in the void between dimensions, where it lays eggs that spawn Arceus with a new universe. Its rotating ring is used to create rifts in reality.
Arkhaos is the only Pokémon forbidden from participating in the Trident Tournament. If the player attempts to join with Arkhaos in their party, the reception will say "Oh, it appears you have a Pokémon on your team that would not be safe to unleash in a tournament like this. Come back when you have a more. . . reasonable team."

Name Origin[]
Arkhaos's name derives from Arceus (which is itself may be a combination of αρχή arkhé (Ancient Greek for origin and authority) or alpha and deus (Latin for god) or Zeus (king of the gods in Greek mythology)) and chaos. It may also involve arcane, aureus (Latin for golden), arc, arcesso (Latin for I summon), Archeus (an aspect of the astral plane), or Chaos (the origin state of the universe in Greek mythology, often personified as the first primordial deity).
