The town is famous for its Koros Festival, which is a remembrance event that takes place every year. The festival originally started as a celebration of a legendary Pokémon, Palkia, that saved Egho a hundred years ago. Hence, there is a rather large noticeable statue of Palkia built at the center of the town so that the people of Echorock can show their respect to their savior. Upon first arriving at the town, the festival has nearly come to its conclusion.
Echorock Town is also known as the main export of Arcanium Ore. The player can receive one from a miner near the entrance of Echo Ridge Cave if they defeat Geralt, one of the Egho Council members.
The player can challenge Geralt here for their first gym badge, the Quill Badge. On the east side on town, there is the Echorock Temple, a building where the player can challenge Howlett for their second gym badge, the Rend Badge.
The Move Deleter is in the house in the lower-left corner of town. Prior to version 3.0.0, he was the Move Relearner; moves can now be relearned with the nurse's assistant Pokémon at any Pokémon Center in exchange for a Heart Scale.

Notes
Each Pokémon has a 1/31 chance to have its hidden ability, with the exception of Weedle and any Meowth after the first one, which instead have the normal odds.
The first Meowth encountered through the well is guaranteed to be shiny. Later Meowth have the normal shiny and hidden ability odds.
As of 2.0.7, Lukpup will not appear until after the festival has concluded.
Echorock Blacksmith[]
Located at the northwesternmost point of the town, the Echorock Blacksmith offers various kinds of mining-related items, most of which are evolutionary stones. The blacksmith is also home to Treant, a man who specializes in turning Apricorns into Poké Balls.
If the player has mined 50 times or more throughout the game, a man will give the infinite-use Diamond Pickaxe after beating the game.
